Supervision

FOR PRE-LICENSED AND EARLY to MID-CAREER CLINICIANS

I have openings in an ongoing process-oriented virtual supervision group that combines depth-oriented case consultation by drawing on associations on the clinical material presented and being curious about “how we know what we know”, and looking at the group process unfolding as it relates to the clinical material (similar in some ways to Balint groups).

This group is best suited for pre-licensed and early to mid-career clinicians who have been trained in psychodynamic theory, and are looking to enhance their skills of working in the “here and now” and using “the self of the therapist” in sessions. This group will also benefit those who are curious or interested about being in process groups.

Time:

Weds noon to 1:50pm PST (Group 1) - Ongoing group

Mon 10am to 11:50am PST (Group 2) - Starting March 2 2026

Fee: $70 per session

Small group size: 4 to 6 members

(Currently accepting new members for both groups)

About me: I identify as a third-culture, able-bodied, cis-gender, South Asian immigrant woman. I integrate elements of psychodynamic, somatic, AEDP, IFS and EMDR frameworks in my clinical work. My own personal experience of being a member of a process group has shown me experientially how this helps to develop skills in observing transference/counter-transference, as well as moving towards more enlivened experiences in sessions.

I hope to enroll a very diverse set of group members in terms of identity, theoretical orientation, and geographical location, so that our experiences are enriched by our learning from each other. Attention will be paid to socio-cultural aspects of identity and power dynamics in the case material as well as in the group process. BIPOC and international clinicians are encouraged to join.

Please contact me to schedule your initial consultation to determine if this supervision group is a good fit for you.

I am also available to provide individual, triadic and group consultation and/or supervision for pre-licensed and newly licensed clinicians in agencies and other settings.

TESTIMONIALS

“Participating in this process group offered a rare depth of reflection and clinical learning. The structure allowed ample time to slow down, attune to the client–therapist dynamic, and explore what was emerging beneath the surface narrative. A wide range of reflections and responses created a rich and meaningful learning environment, […] which deepened my understanding and supported a more compassionate, embodied sense of the client’s experience.

Vinodha held the group with exceptional care. Boundaries were clear and consistent, yet never rigid, creating a strong sense of safety. The structure ensured that each participant had space to speak without competition, and members were free to contribute at a level that felt right for them. There was a period of transition within the group, and Vinodha navigated it with great care—allowing time for departing members to process their experience, welcoming new members thoughtfully, and holding the group steady throughout. I felt her commitment to each individual and to the group as a whole.

I developed a deeper trust in the process and found great value in connecting with colleagues who consistently showed up with presence, curiosity, and integrity. This group offered not only professional growth but also the joy of meaningful human connection.”
